“His Harmony”

“His Harmony” was formed in 1993 in the Dallas area. They began with original members Dave Edmonds singing bass, Gene Edmonds on lead and Bruce Patterson as the baritone/first tenor. For a brief period of time, Steve Duncan was their first tenor. When Steve moved away, they were joined by Steve McClelen (who left in 1996 to further his education). Terry Burton joined the group to become their baritone and/or lead singer. In 2009, Steve McClelen rejoined the group and now sings lead, baritone and sometimes first tenor. In the fourth quarter of 2010, Aubrey Eudy was recruited to sing first tenor, lead, and/or baritone – to become the sixth member of “His Harmony”. After 2012, Terry Burton decided to leave “His Harmony”. In February, 2013, Rex Reese joined as the newest member, singing “what’s left”. The group now can humorously refer to themselves as a “quartet and a half”, and with three guys capable of singing first tenor, they often can’t decide “who’s on first” on any certain song.

His Harmony’s program consists, for the most part, of Southern Gospel. Southern Gospel is written in such a way that it has entertainment value as a Christian alternative to secular music. As a rule, they choose each song sung to encourage Christian living – its joys and challenges – to express thankfulness, and keep their eyes focused on the goal of a higher calling.

His Harmony generally keeps a busy schedule – as they make themselves available for many various church functions. The highlight of their year takes place during the annual Church of Christ Week in Branson, MO, in which Christians from all over our nation gather during the second weekend in October each year. Other locations where they perform include Daingerfield, TX, Texas A & M Church of Christ, as well as numerous locations throughout North Texas.
